EuroCucina: kitchens at their best

The international benchmark showcase for people who want to cook, eat and furnish stylishly, EuroCucina will be presenting the very best in kitchen design at its 20th edition at the Rho Milan Fairgrounds from 8th to 13th April.

EuroCucina, International Kitchen Furniture Exhibition, will be back with the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, the International Bathroom Exhibition and SaloneSatellite at the Rho Milan Fairgrounds from 8th  to 13th April. The kitchen sector’s global point of reference will occupy a total area of over 25,000 square metres in pavilions 9-11and 13-15, inside which 130 Italian and foreign exhibitors – to date – will showcase all the very latest in the kitchen world.

Products range from classic to design kitchens, brick, metal and wood kitchens, with particular focus yet again on natural materials, as has been the trend over the last few years. Detail and finishing are the watchwords: for a design to succeed, detail is all.

Architects, designers, interior decorators, buyers and even the general public – to whom the exhibition is open on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th April – will find all the very best the kitchen world can offer to help design, furnish and personalise the domestic focal point for meeting, conviviality and rituality par excellence.

The return of leading names such as Alno, Cesar, Dada, Mobalpa, Pedini, Schiffini and Valcucine is testament  to the prestige of the sector’s greatest global benchmark event.

The export figures for the period January to August 2013, which were 5.4% up on the same period the previous year, are confirmation of the ever-increasing interest in Italian kitchens. Significant growth in exports of Made in Italy kitchens has been seen not just in the leading markets such as the UK (+90%), the US (+62.7%), Turkey (+39.2%), Switzerland (+22.8%) and Russia (+9.4%) – the second destination market, worth 49.5 million euros – but also in new markets such as Panama (+114.2%), Singapore (+113.3%), Hong Kong (+60.4%) and Australia (+47.8%).

EuroCucina’s collateral event, FTK (Technology For the Kitchen) inside the pavilions 9-11, has been attracting top manufacturers of built-in electrical appliances and cooker hoods ever since its first edition in 2002. FTK has also acquired major new exhibitors, such as Arçelik (Beko) and Sub-Zero Group (SubZero, Wolf).

In full synergy with FTK SaloneSatellite, the platform for emerging young designers, will join EuroCucina in pavilions 13-15.
