Sommaruga Palace

Villa Poletti, in Lanzo d’Intelvi, designed in 1915 by Giuseppe Sommaruga leading carachter along the Italian Liberty, is the background where Nicola De Ponti multi-faceted intervention on different sizes flats is inserted. The villa has been divided into indipendent areas while maintaining its original elegance and rigor: a garden entering ground floor, a high ceilings main floor and other three floors, the upper two of which made lowest by the roof slope.

Liberty style has remained on the main floor, obtaining though more usable areas where old and new face each other; former attics have been rather redesigned and two different apartments, with customs furnishings, created; on top floor there’s a single large space with stone walls where materials replace decorations.
