A year on from its “social debut”, Inkiostro Bianco, a company specializing in the manufacture of artistic and customizable wallpaper, is set to present its new decor and new stylistic and design choices at the next annual Milan Design Week.
This is how the latest creations by Ink Lab have come to life. Ink Lab is a division which deals with the research and development of products and which studies new solutions to combine the uniqueness of the world of pictorial art, the huge potential of modern software and the printing industry with the latest in digital technology.
Its wallpaper forms strongly characterized decor, which unrestrainedly combines Baroque and 18th century commemorations of rural scenes and figures of ladies in modern settings, enriched with touches of irony.
The company’s latest challenge has been the “intangible douceur” range, which merges pictorial art by Jouy with typical wallpaper decorations and the soft textures of various selected fabrics.
The scenes depicted in the wallpaper harmoniously overlap textures and brocade, the depictions of which are so realistic that they look as though they could be touched. The result is then enriched with gilding and silken effects that make the product sophisticated and vaguely aristocratic. Recalling the past, this aspect is also emphasized by soft and delicate colours, with a palette ranging from natural, cream, peach, rose and orange, to green and light blue.
This new project is another step forward for the Emilian company, which loves to experiment and bring to life new examples of contrast between the past and present.
The new decor can also be used with fibreglass backing, the new frontier in the field of wallpaper, which Inkiostro Bianco has recently introduced to the market. The revolutionary EQ Dekor coating can be applied both to walls and floors and embodies the dual functions of protection and decorations.
The EQ Dekor coatings complete the innovative and high-performance MapeWrap EQ System, patented by Mapei, which features excellent efficiency even in the event of earthquakes. It allows the risk of parts of the wall detaching to be minimized and consequntly lengthens the evacuation time of buildings.
