The Gitta Gschwendtner project for Schiffini interprets the kitchen as an architecture.
The sketch [drawing] of The Drawer Kitchen is in fact evocative of constructivist and avant-garde architectures, composing with purpose and determination an out-of-the-box image of the kitchen, an open, aggregation space within the house.
A sculptural volume that holds, and with a gesture offers food, kitchen utensils and objects; a large island appearing like a monolith is transformed into a worktop around practical and useful drawers.
The kitchen and cooking become the scene on which to focus on, for the German designer Gitta Gschwendtner, who interprets its philosophy creating “a connection between the theatrics of food preparation and the sociality of the repast”.
An innovative concept, engineered and produced by leveraging the experience of an attested brand in the design and kitchen furniture scenario. The Drawer Kitchen started production in April 2014, available in white laminate and birch wood, steel top with flush mounted burners and sink.
