SCHOCK GmbH, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of granite sinks, is reinforcing its presence in the US. A new subsidiary and warehouse in Levittown, Pennsylvania have been opened to establish an independent distribution network. “Having operated in the US with our partner Houzer Inc. for the past three years, we are now responding to the market’s renewed growth. This move puts us even more in touch with our customers,” explains Sven-Michael Funck, Marketing and Export Director at SCHOCK. He goes on to say, “We will now be working with our own very large warehouse to enable our customers in North America and Mexico to benefit from the best possible service and short lead times. All of our items are therefore available immediately and can be dispatched without delay.”
President and CEO of the new US subsidiary, SCHOCK North America Ltd., is Kenneth F. Fey. “We’ve developed several sink and tap models for the American market, which will enable us to meet the regional needs even better than before,” explains Fey. The models concerned are in the ASH, VALLEY and EDO ranges. Sales activities will benefit from a specially produced product catalogue, available to download now from the SCHOCK North America website. With its market presence fortified and an extensive assortment of products available, SCHOCK showcased its offering at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, KBIS, in Las Vegas in February 2014, its first trip to this trade show.
The sinks are still manufactured exclusively in Germany to extremely rigorous quality standards and in compliance with the most stringent environmental standards in the world. SCHOCK sinks are made from durable, environmentally sound materials and have already been distinguished with the red dot design award and won numerous other design prizes.
SCHOCK has been successfully expanding its position in the international market for many years now. To this end, the company invests consistently in research and development, not to mention the extension of its distribution structure. SCHOCK operates internationally in more than 70 countries around the world and moved into seven new markets in 2013 alone. This logical step into the United States sees the company developing another attractive market with enormous growth potential.
