The harmony between stones, water and design with Purapietra sinks

Igiemme 2.0 (design by Davide Vercelli) and Lake (design by Lucy Salamanca) sinks

Guests of Rubinetterie Stella’s stand

On the occasion of Cersaie 2013, Purapietra attended the venue as part of Rubinetterie Stella with its Igiemme 2.0 (Davide Vercelli) and Lake (Lucy Salamanca) sinks. The collaboration between the two brands hails from the sintony, in terms of both aesthetics and innovation, between their products. In order to highlight the importance of this partnership, on this occasion Purapietra launched its new version of Igiemme sink – from here hails the name 2.0 – designed by Davide Vercelli for the brand’s last year’s collection.

The main feature of the original drawing, that was characterised by contour lines in view, stays unaltered in this latest version. It consists in the aesthetical link between Igiemme 2.0 and the prototype of faucets named Titian, designed by Michele De Lucchi for Rubinetterie Stella, with which it has been associated. What differ from the previous version are the size (100cm x 50cm) and the weight of Igiemme 2.0 sink, which is smaller to fit into moderate spaces too. In the fair the sink has been displayed in the Blue Belgio polished version. Instead, the new Lake sink has been proposed in its Nero Marquinia new version. This is a black elegant stone with white and silver veins that highlight the fluidity of its lines. To complete the staging of this product, the sink has been associated to the 130 model of faucets by Michele De Lucchi.

On 23rd and 24th September Purapietra launched its new cladding fashion lines signed by Manuel Barbieri, such as KEY, WING and WAY, in the ACF Trading showroom in the very centre of Bologna. The designer focused mainly on the finishing touches that, despite the pleasantness to the touch, convey the primordial feeling of the stone, and the moulded cuts of the stones that offer a wide range of compositions thanks to the sinuosity of the shapes. The collections has been presented in Cremavorio and Ebano. To be displayed also the BARRIQUE and TRAPEZ collections developed by the firm.

The firm

Purapietra hails from Moscato Marmi’s experience in 2012. Moscato Marmi is a firm known for the high quality of its works, its advanced technological know-how and the deep knowledge of the “world of the stones.” Granite, quartz, limestone, travertine, onyx etc. Nature yields the raw material selected by the firm, in order to realise architectures, interior designs and pieces of furniture that are unique for the peculiarity of their material and the designs signed by high-regarded contemporary architects.

The fashion lines proposed by Purapietra close the circle of a 40-year-long technical expertise applied to several design challenges. From the bathroom to the outdoor design, the brand proposes collections whose aesthetical and technological innovations are clearly visible. Since each stone has its own “character”, in Purapietra décor the design becomes also the poetic interpretation of the material, and a new outlook that makes the soul of the surfaces speak for itself.

Purapietra started off in the Fuorisalone in Milano in 2012 with DoblePaso, such as both the outdoor and the great interior chair by Lucy Salamanca. This is a product that blends the futuristic design with the technical virtuosity of our firm. Always in 2012, Purapietra launched its first Bath Collection drawn by ten designers. Purapietra is born by an idea of Fabio Moscato www.purapietra.it
