The lobby is an overture to your home and has large importance, regardless of its size. One of the designer tricks is to place a red carpet that can create a feeling of warmth and coziness, especially during cold winter days.
Red is the most energetic color, so if you want to neutralize its fiery energy, add white, gray, silver, beige, or blue to the color palette. For emphasizing the energy of red, complement it with green. Find out more about this primary hue.
When decorating the living room, it is important to choose colors according to the activities that take place there. If you want to create a relaxing interior, you should decorate the room with soft pastel tints and neutral tones.
The kitchen is, by itself, a warm room, so it is recommendable to decorate it with a cold color palette. Blue and green, as well as neutrals – white and gray, “cool” the air that is heated during cooking, while the violet color adds a touch of creativity.
On the other hand, if you want to boost your appetite in the dining room, orange and yellow are the colors for you.
If you wish to create a refreshing atmosphere in the bathroom, decorate it with emerald green, forest green, navy blue, and sapphire blue, if we are speaking of a larger space. Soft pastel nuances of light green, aquamarine blue, sky blue, and white are an excellent choice for the small bathroom.
The bedroom is the oasis of relaxation, where we forget all the worries accumulated during the day. Neutral tones are a popular choice when it comes to bedroom design. Also, warm brown and red-brown colors create a cozy and romantic atmosphere.
Place the picture with the calming motif, for instance, of sea or forest, opposite the bed (or a window with a view). Put some scented candles or an aroma lamp on the nightstand. The relaxing scents are those of lavender and chamomile. Discover more Relaxing Colors and Scents in Holiday Apartment Design.
The colors in the children’s rooms should be cheerful and stimulating for the children. Primary hues (red, blue, yellow) with the addition of green, playful patterns on the walls (favorite cartoon characters, stars and the moon) are the ideal basis for the children’s activities.
