Keramika Modus marketing team visited Cevisama 2015 – the international ceramic tiles and bathroom equipment fair, which was held from 9th till 13th of February in Valencia, Spain. Here are the newest trends from the ceramic tiles industry.
On the one hand the continuing trend is large format of tiles, but on the other you can find significant smaller sizes like 15×15 or 20×20 cm.
Minimalism in colors, tones and motifs (cement, concrete, wood imitation, marble etc.) is present. Nature is the inspiration to designers.
Colorful decor tiles and border tiles have found their place in every space of the house, especially kitchen.
Digital technology provides more and more advanced options for decorating tiles.
Manufacturers of raw materials, colors, glaze… also ‘dictate’ and form trends in design and decorating tiles.
Hit are the glossy tiles (and this is mainly trend for floor tiles), then mix & match style / eclectic combination of styles, themes, colors from the same collection to create a unique presentation; patchwork, hexagons, gold and silver shine, subway tiles (metro) – plain white, mosaics, texture – tiles beautiful for touching…
The trend of the tiling has come into the bedroom, living room and as a final layer on the tables in the dining room and kitchen, benches, bookcases…
Black and white and beige combinations are still the ultimate hit for interior tiling.
Imitation of concrete, wood, stone, marble in mat versions and large sizes rule, but glossy is emerging as a new trend.
A traditional Spanish style is redefined for use in a modern way – rustic and retro appeal.
Azulejos – color, pattern, motifs are also quite an inspiration for Spanish manufacturers.
