The largest and most important international fair for ceramics, sanitary ware and bathroom equipment, Cersaie 2016, was held September from 26 to 30 in Bologna. And this year’s edition confirmed this fair as a central meeting place for exhibitors and distributors, a place of inspiration for interior designers, as well as the right place to learn about the latest trends, superior design, innovation… the growing involvement of well-known brands, from, for an example, the fashion and the automotive industry (Lamborghini, Versace, Bulgari – branded ceramic tiles and details of interior decoration).

And again this year a very successful week in Italy had Keramika Modus from Orahovica, who presented their new collections of ceramic tiles as the only Croatian manufacturer and the only regional exhibitor among 825 companies from all over the world.

“We are unreservedly pleased with the performance this year. The result of this is a good preparation for the fair, dedicated team work, monitoring and timely response to market demands, great products that we have prepared and excellent location of the stand. Important to us is the feedback from our customers from the Croatian market, but also from foreign markets where we are present and where to we are planning on expanding. And that feedback was positive, with a lot of approval for the introduction of smaller dimensions which we boldly started. It was pleasant to spend time with our loyal customers and partners, and to open up talks to enter new markets. Constant improvement of production processes and investment in technology, but also in the education of the human resources is always the key that brings results. More than anything else, about us and our capabilities says the fact that we cover the needs and are flexible in adapting to the requirements of our key customers on a wide variety of markets, from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, via France, to Russia, Romania and exotic markets, such as African or Arab, where we also have a real export options,” said Mr. Željko Radek, CEO of Keramika Modus.

TRENDS @CERSAIE 2016

When talking about trends, ceramic industry has its constants, which are an imitation of natural and artificial materials – marble, stone, cement and wood. Although, tiles that imitate wooden surfaces are no longer so much in focus. With the emphasis on industrial style and the beautiful ‘greyness’ this year also smaller dimensions were given their ‘five minutes’ under the ‘ceramic sky’. Their design is inspired by the Spanish style, geometric patterns and attractive graphic elements in a variety of combinations of basics and decor tiles as well. Of course, there are also attractive hexagon tiles in the universal application possibilities for the wall and for the floor. Size, design and finish of a new assortment of Keramika Modus can completely keep up with the biggest names in the world of ceramics.
