“I’m dreaming of a white Christmas” are the lyrics of the famous song that inspired me to write this article. So, here are a few of the interior designer’s ideas for creating white Christmas decorations for your interior.
Silver and White Christmas Table
Decorating the holiday table is a wonderful opportunity to show off your creative ideas – since the dining room is the central place for socializing during this festive time of year when all gourmets come into their own, and the only thing richer than the ornaments are the culinary delights.
If your selection consists of one-color fabrics and dishes, the festive touch to the design can come in the form of napkins – decorated with Christmas tree ornament, metal and crystal decorations, and lace bows. Napkins can be arranged in a variety of attractive forms, such as flowers, leafs, ties, swans, and many other folded pieces of art.
A small house made out of cardboard is a cute and practical decoration. It can be a way of serving dessert, giving gifts or holiday greetings to your family and friends, as a kind of seating card, or simply – a lovely ornament for your dining table.
Festive cutlery in matte or gloss variations, as well as wine and champagne glasses – these, are the required ingredients for any holiday table. Cheers!
“Icing on the cake” is the centerpiece – a silver candlestick or a combination of silver candles, glass ornaments, paper stars, and snowflake-looking sweets.
Decorative Snowman
Made out of cotton wool, and accessorized with buttons, into our homes comes the snowman, and with it the refreshing effect of winter whiteness. Place it on a glass or metal tray, surrounded by pinecones and “snowflakes” – coconut-covered sweets, in this delicious case.
Glass Christmas Tree
Chair slipcovers, tablecloths, table toppers, napkins, and dishes in neutral tones (white, silver), create a basis on which the golden ornaments come to the fore and warm up the arrangement.
The centerpiece can be a glass Christmas tree (created out of glass vases and jars filled with gifts and sweets) or a miniature Christmas tree; a large bouquet of flowers, candles placed on the mirror or some other reflective surface, etc.
Glittering stars, scattered on the table or the wall, will make this holiday story, even more, magical.
Message in a Bottle
If you are looking for a creative way to envelope your holiday greetings, a glass bottle of any shape or size can do the trick. What about the message? Hand-written, of course.
White and Gold Christmas Table
A tablecloth with gold ornaments is a lovely choice. Its appearance can add a touch of warmth to glass ornaments and crystal glasses, white plates, and silver or white napkins.
The best way to emphasize the richness of the tablecloth is to select one-color plates. Of course, monochrome does not necessarily mean simple, since the relief texture and unusual shapes have a significant impact on the appearance of the dishes.
The combination of white and golden tones is among the most popular ones. The festive look in the interior can also be created by the gold-silver, green-gold, red-gold, and red-silver color schemes, as well as other combinations with the colors of precious metals. Gold and silver-plated ornaments sparkle due to the reflection of light, which makes the room more luxurious.
Red and White Decorations
Red accents in a white design story can “spice up” the atmosphere. It is considered that the red color raises the adrenaline level and body temperature. Therefore, decorative details in this color are recommended, especially during the cold winter months, but also when you want to bring extra energy into your indoor or outdoor space. So, put the gifts in white boxes and seal them with red hearts.
Handmade Christmas Decoration Ideas
