Inspired by Nature – ideas for designing decorations for large areas, shop windows, and shop interiors.
Festive Retail Decor
Attract customers with some unusual decorations, surprise them, excite them and draw them into your own special world of Christmas experiences – there were a lot of outstandingly inspirational ideas for this at Christmasworld in Frankfurt am Main from 29 January to 2 February 2016.
“Design by Modern Nature”
In their special show, “design by modern Nature” held on, the Dutch designers Rudi Tuinman and Pascal Koeleman from 2Dezign had presented new ways to create a really big effect – be it for the large-scale decoration of major spaces or for shop windows and shop displays.
“Forest Camping”, “Tree of the World” and “Christmas Cabin”
That special Christmas mood was created in areas entitled “Forest Camping”, “Tree of the World” and “Christmas Cabin”. Fresh flowers and plants were the eye-catching centerpieces of the display – joined by forest figures such as owls, stags, squirrels, and foxes. Touches of copper and gold gave the natural greens, browns, and other basic shades a festive and luxurious look. The mix of nature and glamour brought warmth, beauty, and elegance to all the decorated rooms.
Design Connection with Nature
“People who look at Nature in close detail will come to understand everything better. There is no wifi in the forest, yet you will find a better connection,” said Rudi Tuinman and Pascal Koeleman of 2Dezign. By this, the designers mean a better connection with the customer, which initially was created only by an emotional appeal. “We impart positive feelings, give the imagination free rein – that was the best way of opening doors on promising customer contacts,” says Tuinman.
