The new Hygge handle, designed by Mario Mazzer and Giovanni Crosera, has been awarded the prestigious international Red Dot Design Award 2018 in the “Product Design” category. The award, given by the Red Dot Institute since 1955, crowns the best products and projects of the year selected by a jury composed of forty international design experts who, this year, evaluated 6.300 applications from 59 countries.
Hygge won for its essential and linear design, characterized by a thin, dynamic and slender line. Our commitment and our research towards design and quality are constant and every prize is an incentive to proceed on this path”.
The handle takes its inspiration and name from the Danish word Hygge that refers to the lifestyle of this people, focused on the search for daily happiness through the enjoyment of the present, tasting the little pleasures of life. Living Hygge means creating a welcoming, pleasant and intimate atmosphere, surrounded by the affection of loved ones.
The Hygge model of the handle, focusing on an essential but comfortable product design, recalls the Hygge lifestyle that loves simple but pleasant objects.
