This year’s Ambienta – International Furniture, Interior Decoration and Supporting Industry Fair, which took place from 09 – 13 October in Zagreb, Croatia, presented a Croatian design story as well as creative ideas from many other countries. I went sightseeing and took photos to show you design and décor trends and ideas from this Croatian trade fair.

Artistic Glass and Mirrors / Bokart
Indoor and outdoor design, residential and commercial spaces – with the emphasis on hospitality furnishings, tableware, and decor; construction, architecture and art, and Croatian furniture and home decor production, were on display for visitors to see and enjoy, thus confirming that this trade fair is one of the most significant business and networking events in the Croatian furniture and wood industry.

A creative delicacy for us design lovers, and one of my personal favorites – a designer exhibition unit called the Design Zone was presented in the pavilion 5 of the Zagreb Fair.

The exhibition Between Wishes and Reality – the Furniture Industry and Design in Croatia 1945 – 1990, after taking place in the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb, was also shown at this year’s Ambienta Fair, thus giving the visitors an insight into the history of design in this European country.
