Apartment Design Project – North Beach Residence, Miami
With its relaxing ocean views, the three-bedroom apartment is transformed into a tranquil and ordered home – a beachfront haven of serenity. Lightness and natural flow are prioritized, with smaller pockets of space within the open-plan layout introducing a sense of intimacy.
The neutral color palette of beige tones with contrasting accents of black offers a contemporary style interior. Custom joinery and wood-paneled walls inspired by a Japanese aesthetic add structure and radiate warmth.
An array of textures are layered in a true celebration of natural elements. Tonal artworks and collected artifacts from the owner’s travels add an element of artistic beauty.
Townhouse Project – Midtown Residence, Miami
A townhouse in Midtown Miami, Florida, purchased from a developer is transformed into a sleek open-plan residence – a sophisticated urban home. Strong architectural lines are contrasted with organic elements, offering rich, layered textures.
The custom-designed kitchen is the star of the show, featuring matt black and bronze glass cabinetry. Brushed brass barstools with custom black upholstery highlight the gold veining in the exotic marble countertops.
Custom furnishings in the living room play with scale and proportion featuring oversized, low profile pieces for the ultimate luxury combination of comfort and style. The high contrast monochrome color palette of black and tones of beige combined with brass accents carried throughout this project gives this home a serene yet masculine vibe.
Belgravia Apartment, London
Situated on one of Belgravia’s prettiest streets, in London, United Kingdom, this three bedrooms lateral apartment was fully refurbished by Light On White Design Studio. The design process on this interior project was four weeks, with the contractors on-site for four months after that. Working within the limitations of the small apartment, the layout was entirely reconsidered to feature an American style open kitchen and fitting in built-in storage wherever possible.
The interiors feature a number of bespoke pieces of furniture as well as “turn-key” styling and art consultancy. As with all their projects, Light On White designed the interior architecture at the same time as the furnishing scheme to ensure a real cohesion throughout the design.
Darker neutral color palette with bronze accents and luxurious marbles bring an understated elegance to the contemporary style design. The clients wanted the apartment to feel comfortable and cozy, in order to make them feel at home despite this being a pied-a-terre for them. To achieve this, the designers installed wallcoverings and wall-to-wall fitted carpets in every bedroom and used indirect lighting such as decorative sconces, cove lighting, and recessed wall lights to create washes of ambient light throughout the apartment. The interior designers focused on bringing together a unique combination of textures that bring depth to the paired-back scheme using a mix of patinated metals and beautiful wood veneers against textured linens, and velvets to create a rich sensory experience.
