Tea Set from the Amazonia Collection – for the Reforestation of Amazonia’s Mato Grosso Area
The cover photo shows a tea set from the Amazonia Collection of the Portuguese tableware manufacturer Vista Alegre. This hand-crafted, and hand-painted porcelain 15-piece tea set is enhanced with gold detailing. The creative design is inspired by the book “Viagem Filosófica” (Philosophical Voyage) by the naturalist Alexandre Rodrigues Ferreira, as well as by the flora, fauna, and people of today’s Amazōnia.
This nature-inspired tableware collection was developed in partnership with Ecoarts Amazōnia. The award-winning collection consists of 15 porcelain pieces, which are part of the revenue channeled back into the reforestation of Amazonia’s Mato Grosso area. Reforestation is being done through the planting of native fruit trees, which will help preserve an environmental, cultural, social, and scientific heritage that is crucial to the future of humankind.
