Silversands Grenada Resort’s Minimalist Design Puts Grenada’s Beautiful Landscape at the Focus
With 43 guestrooms and suites and eight residential villas, Silversands Grenada is anchored by a 100-meter infinity pool – the longest in the Caribbean.
The modern-inspired resort’s striking minimalist design puts Grenada’s enthralling landscape at the focus, enticing travelers to explore the island and create a deeper connection to one of the Caribbean’s colorful hideaways. A member of Leading Hotels of the World, the designer resort offers fine-tuned service, luxury accommodations, stylish dining, five-star amenities, and authentic Grenadian experiences that create a true sense of place for guests.
Architecture and Interiors by AW²
With architecture and interiors by AW², Reda Amalou & Stéphanie Ledoux, Silversands Grenada offers a striking and minimalist design that brings the surrounding landscape into focus. The resort’s aesthetic blends authenticity, nature, luxury, and modernity in a stunning display of clean lines against the undulating sands of Grand Anse beach and its attendant wild beauty.
The resort’s architecture, in all its simple forms and materials, defines the identity of the resort. The layout is primarily organized to showcase stunning sea views while ensuring the utmost degree of privacy and simultaneously providing unique spaces for relaxing, celebrating, and mingling.
Gardens, Courtyards, and Water Features
The exterior spaces echo the architecture’s modern lines through gardens, courtyards, and water features. Terraces, day bed areas, and swimming pools have all been designed by AW² to blend seamlessly with the architecture itself. The resulting setting lulls guests down to the rhythm of the island in a sea of bright whites, natural teak, and neutral tones. The view lines and spaces are all arranged to make the location and surroundings the star while offering the discovery of the Caribbean’s aromatic hideaway.
“The client has shown great trust in our designs and has been very supportive: he has also kept personally involved in all the major design decisions, including the choice of some furniture and fabrics. Mr. Sawiris was also very involved with the artistic component of the project. Each piece of art has been carefully sourced and chosen, to express the exclusivity of the place.
We feel that our work is best reflected when we work on projects like this. Having control over all the design, bringing a high degree of coherence through all the aspects of the project – we enjoy working at different scales, from masterplan to furniture details, as it gives us the ability to “tell our story” in many different ways and to express our know-how in crafting the best guest experience. Silversands offered us the perfect opportunity to do this.”

Dining in Style – Menus with a Focus on Community and Culture
A focus on community and culture flows through the menus at Silversands Grenada, along with global influence.
The Caribbean resort includes two distinct dining venues: The Grenadian Grill, a casual beach club-style poolside lunch and dinner restaurant serving casual fare, including a selection of authentic Grenadian dishes; and Asiatique, an Asian-influenced dinner venue showcasing Grenada’s wild abundance of local ingredients and spices. A rum bar, Puro, entices guests for nightcaps and conversation over moonlit views.
Beachfront Dining
With an open-air, feet-in-the-sand ambiance, The Grenadian Grill offers beachfront dining with refined yet authentic island cuisine. The casual, sun-soaked venue also includes an impressive wine list featuring more than 100 varietals from around the world, including a range of unique rosés. When night falls, the 62-seat restaurant transition to a more sophisticated experience, designed to encourage sharing and mingling.
Open daily for dinner, Asiatique serves Asian-influenced cuisine with a focus on Thai flavors. With soaring high ceilings housing the strong design within, the sleek restaurant overlooks the pool and sea beyond. Guests and villa residents are also able to book cooking classes with the restaurant team, allowing them to learn about Grenada’s local ingredients and bring the island’s unique flavor to their own home kitchens.
Silversands Grenada also includes a curated rum bar called Puro. Overlooking the design resort’s striking central pool, the intimate lounge-style interior space features a boutique collection of rare, small-batch rums from the best Caribbean distilleries, including locally-sourced Grenadian rums.
The Silversands Spa
Guests can unwind and get on island time with locally-inspired treatments and rituals in The Silversands Spa. This stylish wellness space includes four tranquil treatment rooms, a sauna, a hammam, and a high-tech fitness center. The space is anchored around a light-filled, temperature-controlled private swimming pool and a unique relaxation area with poolside cabanas designed to create a cocoon of calm before and following treatments.

Experience the Beauty and the Rhythm of Grenada
Beyond the resort, Silversands Grenada partners with local tour operators and guides to connect guests with Grenada’s spectacular landscape. From waterfall tours to scuba diving, historical exploration, and organic farm tours, the resort connects guests and villa owners with the warm, captivating soul and people of authentic Grenada.
Within the resort itself, a rotating art exhibit showcases Grenadian art alongside pieces from the resort owner’s personal collection. Guests also experience the rhythm of the island with performances by local musicians and bands – all curated by an in-house entertainment manager.
Community Sustainability
Exemplifying the resort’s commitment to supporting the Grenada community and culture, Silversands Grenada partners with GRENROP (Grenada Network of Rural Women Producers), which currently provides farming jobs to a network of single mothers on Grenada island.
GRENROP was created in rural communities, where many women derive their livelihoods from farming. Silversands Grenada sources most of the fruits and vegetables for its two restaurants through GRENROP, providing a direct and meaningful benefit to the women who belong to the group. Notably, the resort commits to a monthly purchase guarantee, giving the women growers the assurance that their hard work will bring financial benefits. The resort’s goal is to assist local women in creating a profitable enterprise that benefits the Grenada community and supports financial stability.
Furthermore, Silversands is growing a nursery of supplemental ingredients also sustainable in the island climate. This benefit is two-fold: greater food diversity on Grenada while lessening the import of fruits and vegetables into the island – limiting the resort’s carbon footprint.
Experience Grenada, the Spice of the Caribbean. 🙂
