Milan hosts Italy’s most popular international trade show for design, building construction, the building envelope, windows and finishings.
MADE expo is getting more specialised than ever, staging four specific high-interest exhibitions: MADE Constructions and Materials, MADE Building Envelope and Windows, MADE Interiors and Finishings, and MADE Software, Technologies and Services. The decision to pursue this approach is set to generate untold synergies around the products and services employed by the building industry to stay ahead of an increasingly interconnected and ever-changing market.
MADE Constructions and Materials
These days, successful construction means implementing solutions and employing products and materials with a view to creating built-up environments that are increasingly integrated with local areas, and meet the new need for homes that are pleasant to live in, safe, and comfortable, thanks also to the balanced management of electrical and plumbing systems.
MADE Constructions and Materials will be shining the spotlight on construction systems and technologies, solutions for upgrading and ensuring the safety of existing and new buildings, refurbishments and energy refits, all with the aim of taking comfort levels to a whole new level and boosting the quality of interiors. Exhibitors will include the biggest names in additives, insulating materials, reinforcements, fibres and the best decorative paints to bear the Made in Italy label.
The Exhibition is teaming up with the leading trade associations to stage workshops and special events focussing on seismic and environmental engineering, and explore the most advanced solutions for safeguarding local areas and containing hydro-geological risk.
By presenting construction systems in timber, concrete, bricks and steel, MADE Constructions and Materials offers a professional audience invaluable insights into next-generation technologies and solutions for safe, sustainable, high-quality constructions.
MADE Constructions and Materials will also present Italy’s most comprehensive display of timber homes and structures.
Timber is well up to the challenge of structural utilisation also in elevation, thanks to the many exciting new solutions that have been explored and developed to ensure the highest safety standards, heat and sound insulation, thermo-hygrometric parameters and the ability to withstand seismic stress.
The third edition of MADE in Concrete, an event promoted by ATECAP, the Economic-Technical Association of Ready-Mixed Concrete Producers, will underscore the use ofconcrete in architecture, and reveal new aspects of its amazing potential and performance.
The Exhibition will be partnering UNICMI, the Italian Metal Construction, Building Envelope and Windows Industries Union to delve into the topic of steel constructions and extremely tall buildings.
Alongside the sections devoted to construction materials and systems, there will also be an area showcasing instruments for the diagnostics, measurement and monitoring of buildings and their surrounding environments. An extensive indoor display and outdoor exhibit will focus on the latest building site equipment: from tools to temporary works and construction machinery.
Indoor and outdoor vertical transport systems and the latest developments in lifts & homelifts will also feature large at MADE Constructions and Materials, occupying a new location that will draw more attention to this crucial component of the building system.
The installations sector will also be on hand at MADE Constructions and Materials, to meet builders and lay down rules for the integrated design of buildings and plants, taking into account all the different stages of the building construction and refurbishment process with a view to enhancing energy efficiency and in-home comfort, through the use of traditional and renewable energy sources.
The Constructions and Materials show will not be neglecting the importance ofvirtuous local area management planning and landscape protection; attention will be devoted to planning and products for integrating green areas, street furnishings, and urban and sports infrastructure. The exhibition will of course include a packed programme of displays, workshops and international conferences bringing together technical experts and local administrations keen to make our cities more accessible and people-friendly.
MADE Building Envelope & Windows
On the strength of the over 31,000 window manufacturers who attended MADE Building Envelope and Windows 2013, the event is now indisputably the only Italian exhibition that represents the entire pipeline, including doors and windows, blinds and awnings, shading systems, protection, building envelope and roofing.
One of the event’s unique features is it focus on manufacturing technologies and solutions, with the accent on product performance irregardless of whether the choice is wood, aluminium or PVC.
Close cooperation between FederlegnoArredo, UNICMI and PVC Forum Italia has ensured the success of past editions of MADE Building Envelope & Windows, and is today instrumental in the staging of the next show, where window manufacturers, installer, distributors, architects, designers and builders will have a forum for interacting with the entire manufacturing pipeline, ranging from machinery for making windowsright down to cutting edge finished products, by way of hardware, componentry,semi-finished products and technology. It is significant in this respect that theAluminium and PVC Machinery Constructors Group has already signed up to attend both the 2015 and the 2017 editions of MADE expo.
The event will be devoting considerable attention and space to manufacturers offaçades and cladding systems showcasing the most innovative solutions in terms of efficiency, safety and design. To complete the offering, there will also be manufacturers of shading systems, blinds and awnings and sun and insect protection systems, with concepts designed to provide the functionalities, energy savings and architectural appeal that the market is looking for.
Workshops and ad-hoc events will give window manufacturers, installers, designers and builders the opportunity to view and assess the performance of ground-breaking products, with particular emphasis on the hottest topics in the industry: energy efficiency, luminosity, in-home comfort, ease of installation and Domotics.
MADE Building Envelope and Windows will be crammed with technical offerings underlining the importance of pleasant interiors, making for an excellent fit with the trend for building everything from the Passive House to the Active House.
Light is another indispensable aspect of comfort; light brightens up space, draws attention to architectural features and furnishings, and lifts the mood. Hence the technological challenge taken up by window makers to minimise the thickness and width of frames so as to maximise the size of the glazed surface.
