CHIARA-BG-C | LUNA-AG-C…The Beauty of no Handles

LEICHT has written an unparalleled success story with handle-less kitchens that bears witness to the company’s understanding of contemporary design. The hallmarks of today’s kitchens are large, calm expanses, smooth fronts, continuous veneers, minimal radii and the very finest joints. All these characteristics are shown to particular advantage in handle-less kitchens. Because thanks to integrated, colour-coordinated recessed grips on doors, drawers and pullouts, the calm of the fronts is not “disturbed” by visible or fitted knobs and handles.

By presenting the new “Contino”, LEICHT is rounding off its portfolio of handle-less kitchens: alongside the successful “Avance” collection and the “Avance pro” range launched in autumn 2012, the course is now set for continued positive market development in the area of handle-less kitchens. In terms of price, “Contino” is aimed at a broader market segment enabling LEICHT to address new and interesting target groups.

“Contino” features the tried and tested “Avance” recessed grip. It is positioned so that it runs directly under the worktop on all floor units. This forms a continuous shadow gap with the worktop thus taking on a lightweight, almost floating character. The right-angled grip edges ensure a good and firm hold. The recessed grip is integrated in the bottom of wall units; the front has a flush finish. This too enables convenient access.

Numerous ranges are available with “Contino” for individual kitchen design. Customers can also choose from the thousands of finely graduated shades in the RAL palette. The griprails are either anodised aluminium or are lacquered in colours coordinated to the kitchen fronts. It is even possible to have contrasting colours for the recessed grips within the range of the RAL colour palette.

The “Contino” photos show light, friendly and open kitchen planning with lots of space for living and working. Calm, smooth fronts with colour-coordinated, lacquered recessed grips structure the kitchen horizontally. The new “Contino” concept was implemented here with two current LEICHT ranges: the “CHIARA-BG-C” (“C” stands for “Contino”) with high gloss lacquered fronts in “firn“ in combination with the high gloss acrylic front of “LUNA-AG-C” in a light “sand grey“.

Both ranges are characterised by particularly high-grade edge processing – a key criterion for quality and sophisticated design. LEICHT implements the very latest in laser technology in the production of kitchen furniture. This ensures that there is hardly a visible joint between the front material and the edge band.
