Exclusive elegance
Kitchens are the perfect place for individual furnishing concepts. The SteelArt high-tech division of kitchen technology specialist Blanco has created an eye-catcher in its sink innovation Blancoattika 60/A that embarks on new dimensions in design and craftsmanship. The special feature of this innovative top-mounted bowl lies in the emphasis on the authentic material aesthetics, the exceptionally striking details of which will delight architecturally-minded planners and builders in particular. Because there in one thing Blancoattika is above all else: different!
The characteristic feature of the hand-made bowl is the elegant and exclusive frame. In this contemporary interpretation the eponymous Attika rim, architectural style icon since antiquity, sets an effective accent in modern, generous kitchen architecture. Its solid yet filigree looks and delicately formed corner radii appeal in particular to people who appreciate puristic, neat design. At the same time, the softly rounded outer contours of the accentuated rim geometry create a distinct boundary to the wet area. This also includes the lower position of the tap ledge on the side, which is situated within the Attika frame and adjoins the generously proportioned bowl with the elegant 10-mm corner radius and user-friendly bowl depth of 175 mm.

The consistent system design of the Attika 60/A concept opens up further clever options: combined with a lowerable mixer tap such as the Blancoeloscope-F II, the sink can also be positioned in front of a window. An exclusive ash compound chopping board, specially designed to match the sink, is available as an elegant cover and practical working surface.
For its innovative design Blancoattika 60/A has recently won not one but two internationally significant prizes: the iF Product Design Award 2013 and the Interior Innovation Award 2013, the winner of which is chosen by the German Design Council and the Cologne exhibition company Koelnmesse and imm cologne. “We are delighted about both awards. They are an endorsement of our commitment to the perfect unity of form, functionality and quality of workmanship our products feature, whereby it is important for us to develop innovations that satisfy demands”, design boss Brigitte Ziemann said.

Impressive testimony to the company’s success in achieving this is also demonstrated by the current model enhancement: Blancoattika XL 60 has been conceived without a side mixer tap ledge. The gently contoured bowl thus offers even greater design scope for planning purposes, for example in respect of additional operating elements such as a soap dispenser or pop-up. Attika XL 60 showcases in a particularly impressive manner the unusual rim geometry with its filigree yet solid looks.
The elegant C-overflow and CapFlow outlet cover are available for both models as standard features. Attika is suitable for reversible installation, with the option of the tap ledge on the right or left.

Blancoattika is a further highlight that embodies the excellent skilled precision in the processing of stainless steel and the high design quality that is so typical of all Blanco SteelArt products. Attika is perfect for open-plan kitchens with a strong architectural character, and appeals to individualists who want to set accents with exceptional objects.
