WERZALIT is the first European manufacturer to offer a load-bearing WPC terrace profile
The WERZALIT company from Oberstenfeld is the first European manufacturer to offer a terrace flooring solution with building authority approval in the form of the new WPC terrace profile terraza bz. The terraza bz profile as well as the associated sub-framework bar bz and screws have building authority approval (in German: bauaufsichtliche Zulassung = bz). In other words, all components of the new terrace flooring satisfy the recognised engineering principles, structural regulations and technical guidelines for freely load-bearing profiles used as flooring. The terrace profile can be installed as a freely load-bearing balcony floor – a reliable method for saving not only time but also money. The costly and time-consuming construction of a load-bearing sub-structure is therefore unnecessary.
High-quality and versatile
This aspect may be particularly interesting for renovation projects and new construction since terraza bz opens up a wide range of possibilities: with terraza bz terrace profiles, it is now possible to realise balconies and terraces, access balconies and loggia, stairways and landings more easily and more cost effectively over the long term while taking into consideration safety aspects required by building authorities. The profiles are very long lasting and can be installed both indoors and outdoors thanks to the modern wood material S2, a high-quality wood-polymer composite (WPC).
Practical and stylish
terraza bz can be laid with wide or narrow longitudinal joints, but these are always closed. The profiles can be used with either side facing out. Both surface textures, ‘fino’ with fine grooves and ‘medio’ with wider fluting, are characterised by a very classic design and a natural wood appearance. Thanks to the patented click system, installation is fast and efficient. The fastening elements are invisible after installation of the terrace profiles, allowing for stylishly elegant designs.
