The Saloni will be back at the Rho Milan Fairgrounds from Tuesday 8th to Sunday 13th April 2014. Over 2,500 exhibitors will take part to the 53rd edition of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, alongside the International Furnishing Accessories Ex- hibition and the biennial EuroCucina taking place in pavilions 9-11 and 13-15 and the International Bathroom Exhibition in the adjacent pavilions 22-24, next to SaloneSatellite.
The Saloni 2014 will be open to the industry and press from 9.30am to 6.30pm Tuesday to Friday; and open to the general public as well on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th April. The Fair is the undisputed international showcase for cutting edge furnishing, kitchen and bathroom designs. The incredible variety and quality of the products on offer attract over 300,000 visitors every year.
The Salone Internazionale del Mobile and the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition will again be split into three different stylistic categories: Classic, Modern and Design.
EuroCucina
EuroCucina is the leading international exhibition for kitchen furniture, showcasing an infinite range of solutions for a domes- tic space becoming more of the social hub of the home rather than simply a place to prepare food.
These range from classic to cutting edge kitchens, categorised by a specific style such as plastic-laminated, kitchens in wood, metal, brick and lacquer and also including a showcase of their furnishing accessories, as of the last edition.
Italian kitchens are leading in the market. The export data for January to June 2013 show a 5.6% rise compared with 2012, testament to the ever-increasing interest in Italian kitchens. Growth has been seen in all the main export markets, such as the US (+77.5%), the UK (+58.5%), Turkey (+18.9%), Swit- zerland (+18.1%), Russia (+11.2%) and Germany (+2.2%).
All the leading international manufacturers will take part to the 20th edition of EuroCucina together with the main Italian brands in four dedicated pavilions: 9-11 and 13-15.
Alongside the satellite events, there will be a focus on innovation and technology with the adjacent FTK (Technology For the Kitchen) event devoted to built-in furniture and leading appliances showcasing products, prototypes and designs for the kitchen of the future.
International Bathroom Exhibition
The 5th edition of the International Bathroom Exhibition will be held in pavilions 22 and 24 at the Rho Milan Fairgrounds. This biennial exhibition will feature leading international manufacturers. This is becoming increasingly established as the most important showcase for top quality bathroom accessories and furniture, shower cubicles, saunas, sanitary ware, radiators, coverings, bathroom and kitchen taps, bath and hydromassage tubs.
Bathrooms have undergone one of the biggest evolutions over the last few years, evolving from a private space to a retreat for relaxation and physical wellness.
The boyance of this sector attracts leading international manu- facturers as reflected in the export data. Between January and June 2013, data for the top 20 foreign export markets illustrate upward trends for Norway (+106.1%), South Korea (+54.5%), China (+38.4%), Saudi Arabia (+18.0%) and Russia (+15,7%), showing exports as a growing market, especially in those parts of Europe and the world where they used to be extremely low until a few years ago.
SaloneSatellite
The 17th edition of SaloneSatellite will take place in pavilions 22-24. This event showcases works by promising young designers from all over the world and provides an unrivalled opportunity for the industry, press and visitors to engage with up-and-coming young designers.
These young designers will participate to the fifth edition of the SaloneSatellite Award promoted by EuroCucina / International Kitchen Furniture Exhibition and International Bathroom Exhibition. This Award is an occasion for three selected young designers to gain visibility in the international design world.
