Sliding walls – connecting and dividing space

Sliding walls have important role in equipping interiors, making possible to arrange the space multifunctionally.

In this way the quality of organization of living or working in smaller spaces is being raised, because functional groups can be separated or connected in any moment. Exactly that is the best advantage of building the slide walls in – they divide the space and then reconnect it, they conceal it and open it, they make shade and then let the light in again. Apart from wide range of possibilities of organizing the space functionally, designer-shaping possibilities are even wider.

Sliding walls are made out of MDF with melamine foil, chipboard, Plexiglas, various kinds of glass, polycarbonate boards, mirrors and in combination of different materials with their frames. Chipboard is frequently used because of its reasonable price and great choice of colours for the fronts. They can additionally be varnished or veneered and, depending on wishes, combined with glass. The glass, which has, due to safety reasons, be tempered or laminated, is also frequently used. Glass sliding walls are made in different colours, with opaque satinato glass or transparent toned glass.

They are made out of high quality profiles: they are waterproof and characterized by good thermal and sound insulation. Sliding walls are built in necessary number of door leaves. The number of tracks also depends on that, and they can be dug in the floor, so that there’s no height difference or a doorstep between the inner and outer space.

Apart from classical sliding walls, there are also flipping-sliding and lifting-sliding walls. By correct choice, you will certainly raise the quality of the space you stay in.
