Porro at IMM Cologne 2014

To the German and Northern European public of IMM Cologne fair which is rediscovering the pleasure of Italian style living, Porro shows its idea of home: complete settings where the Porro icons and the new products in the collection flow into a harmonic ensemble, to show how its geometric and conceptual aesthetic can give life to a minimal but expressively rich living context in which living is extremely pleasant. The leitmotif between the different environments is the geometric play of fullness and voids and the use of wooden essences. The Italian brand, known in the world for the very high quality of the systems and its own collections, distinguishes itself for its ability to select, work and manipulate wood, offering a broad and carefully-selected range of finishes with possibilities of personalisations, introducing an almost sartorial approach to the product.

The set up starts with the dining area, where the Metallico table is shown with four bicolored Gentle chairs, the Tiller sideboard and two Ex-Libris display cabinets.

In the living area, instead, Modern system is combined with Load-It bookcase, while the Ghiaccio armchairs, the 3Table adjustable small tables, the Mikado sideboards and two Balancing Boxes small tables complete the scene.

If the home office environment, ideal for those who wish to bring the elegance, warmth, and simple design of Porro domestic settings into their own workplace, or for those who work from home, uses the Synapsis table, the Garda chairs, the System bookcase, the Sidewall vertical bookcases, in the Green interior oasis, the Jade chaise longue is combined with the Shahan round small table.

The new heart of the house is the wardrobe, which is the realm of the Storage closet system, shown in two large compositions that highlight some of their infinite possible variations. The first dressing room presents a Storage Air self-standing solution which opens onto a large cabinet closet arranged in an angular composition. A second dressing room is instead protected by the new full-height Shift sliding wood doors: architectural partitions which slide on a track on the floor which can be stepped on and does not require wall construction. The new Storage Paneling debuts in its interior, characterized by modular wall panels onto which various fittings can be attached. An area dedicated to study is created using the Load-it bookcase together with the Modern suspended top. In the bedroom, the Shin bed is accompanied by the Truck stepladder nightstand, the Offshore nightstand and by the Inlay inlaid drawer unit in 4 different tonalities of oak. To contain the outfits, the Storage closet is enclosed by the Riff shutter doors without handles. Behind the bed is found the System bookshelf in the new suspended version in Black stained Hemlock with variable width modules and Iron shutter doors in transparent glass on a Black background.

The Chameleon container-trunk with Pear Wood interior and cladding in prized strips of leather which, when opening, change color from White to Black, along with the two Reflection mirrors, inserts itself in a versatile manner in the corridors, for an house where every detail reveals the decisive but whispered project philosophy of the brand.
